I’m Emily Amarnick, the founder of Mrs. Pleasant, a culinary and hospitality business rooted in good food, gathering, and a deep love for all things vintage.

What started with The Moosewood Cookbook in my college apartment turned into a career.

Family and community are so important to me. Growing up, the dinner table was always a safe place. No matter what had happened that day, I knew that I’d be heard and I could always be myself (even if that meant running to the bathroom because I was laughing so hard at my my dad’s or sisters’ impressions).

Along with helping people eat well, I create time for them to connect with their loved ones. My mission is to make good food approachable and unpretentious, like hanging out with your best friend. I’ll always meet you where you are
