As much as grabbing a "grandma slice" around the corner saves time, there's nothing like making your pizza at home. You can customize the type of crust you buy or make and of course have you have control over the toppings. This pizza was inspired by a salad I recently had and turned out really well!

Ingredients:

  • Your favorite crust (bought or homemade) I love whole wheat myself.
  • 1-1/2 Cups of Pesto*
  • 4 fresh figs, sliced
  • 2 handfuls of Arugula
  • 1/3 Cup of Goat Cheese

1. Spread your Pesto* onto your crust

2. Add Arugula, Sliced Figs and roll your goat cheese into little balls and sporadically place onto pizza.

3. Bake pizza in oven based on the crust instructions.

*Pesto

  • 1 bunch of fresh Basil
  • 1 handful of Walnuts
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 TBSP of evoo
  • S & P to taste

Place everything in a high speed blender or food processor and blend until well combined. Scrape down sides and add a drop of water as needed.
